France for Families - Tumbleweed

Since it's creation in 1989, Tumbleweed has attracted interest from tourists and Parisians alike, with it's collection of quirky and interesting toys.

The owner and creator of Tumbleweed, Lynn Rovida first moved to France from Western Pennsylvania, USA in 1977, before opening the original Tumbleweed store in 1989.

In the time since, Lynn has searched out original and quirky toys designed both for children and adults alike. Her clear passion for the toys and accessories she sells shines through as she demonstrates the various curiosities on display within this wondrous shop. From classic wooden spinning tops to intricate mechanical creations, entering Tumbleweed is like stepping back in time, to a point before video games and TV, where everything on display holds a unique charm and fascination.

Bringing together creations from over 40 different artists from over 15 different countries, Lynne has clearly invested a lot of time and love into creating this remarkable store.

Take a tour the Tumbleweed store by watching the video below and see many of the amazing creations on offer demonstrated by Lynne herself…
